Public Advisory November 3-4, 2025 Due to Severe Tropical Storm "TINO"

The Municipal Government of Sogod, through the Office of the Municipal Mayor, announces the suspension of work in all government offices and classes in all levels, both public and private, on November 3–4, 2025, as a precautionary measure due to the threat of Severe Tropical Storm “TINO” (Kalmaegi).

 

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic health services, disaster preparedness and response, peace and order, and other vital operations shall continue their functions to ensure public safety and welfare.

 

Private establishments are strongly advised to exercise sound discretion in suspending work for the safety of their employees, while ensuring accessibility to essential goods and services such as food, medicine, and banking.

 

Residents are further advised to:

 

1. Avoid unnecessary travel and outdoor activities, especially near flood-prone and landslide-prone areas;

 

2. Postpone non-essential trips and recreational activities; and

 

3. Closely monitor weather advisories and updates from official sources.
